The American Institutes for Research remains committed to providing state and local leaders and community members with evidence-based tools and services to help navigate this disrupted and emerging landscape. In addition to the support we provide through the many Federal and foundation-funded support centers that we operate, AIR has invested in a number of activities that have provided resources to our state and local partners at no charge.
Students with disabilities and their families are especially challenged during this period of isolation stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. Resources for Recovery: Special Education includes tips for virtual IEP meetings and supporting students with disabilities in a remote environment; sample lessons and tips for educator and parents; resources related to assistive and learning technologies; Q&As on collecting progress monitoring data, and use of the READI Framework to close gaps by addressing the needs of under-served schools.
For more information about the Resources for Recovery series, please contact: Makini Nyanteh, Vice President, Communications & Public Affairs, via email at mnyanteh@air.org, or by phone at 202-403-5902.
